    Chiron Technology Services, Inc. currently has a System Administrator career opportunity in the Columbia, MD area. United States Citizenship is required for this position.

     

    Position Summary:

    The Systems Administrator will be the primary support to Chiron’s overseas Cyber Security Training operations in real time.  During the hours of active overseas training operations, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting ongoing infrastructure and desktop maintenance, as well as software maintenance and troubleshooting of custom web applications and automation systems.  This will entail working varying shifts to accommodate the differences in time-zones. 

    When overseas training courses are not scheduled, the Systems Administrator will work as part of the IT team to provide support to corporate infrastructure operations and other cyber security training operations. During these times, the System Administrator will maintain a schedule within normal business hours.  This position will be located in our Columbia, Maryland location. 

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related area with 2 years of system administration experience; or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or equivalent and 4-6 years of SA experience
    • Able to work the alternate shift schedule in direct support of our overseas training
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
    • Scripting Language (Python, Powershell, JavaScript etc.)
    • Experience with VMware VCenter and VSphere 6.0 or higher
    • Experience with VMware Horizon 6 or Higher
    • Experience with Microsoft Server 2012 or higher
    • Experience with Equallogic SAN’s
    • Experience with Active Directory
    • Experience with Cisco Meraki Networks
    • Desktop and Infrastructure troubleshooting experience

     

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite and Outlook
    • Professional discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information and situations
    • Ability to be self-starting and to work independently
